Main Services
The library publishes and regularly updates its Service Offer, establishing our commitments, as well as the indicators that rate them.
Plinio
Plinio allows simultaneous search of resources: paper books and journals, electronic journals and books, databases, and documents from RUIdeRA institutional repository.
It is available from the computers placed in the library or from any computer connected to the internet, through the library’s website.
Online catalogue
The online catalogue contains information about the entire collection, the location and availability of each item.

Borrowing & reservations
Any item of the collection can be checked out at the library and most of them can be borrowed and renewed.
If you prefer to avoid queues at the information desk, you can use the self-service terminals.
If the item you need is checked out by someone, it is possible to request it and borrow it when it has been returned. On demand, the library will send you an SMS.
Intercampus & Interlibrary loans
If the item you need is in another UCLM Campus library, it may be requested through intercampus loan.
If it is not in stock at the UCLM, it may be requested to another library through interlibrary loan (this service is charged with a fee).
Greco. E-Books loan
You can download e-books into your laptop or e-reader, during the allowed period, from: http://greco.uclm.es/
Access to Internet and Laptops loan
Access to internet is available from Library’s PCs or from your own laptop via Wifi.
If you don’t have a laptop, you can borrow one to use it at the library or to take it out for a 15 days period.

If you access our web page from any device, you will be able to:
- Query our online catalogue.
- Order books.
- Check your loans and renew them online.
- Apply for interlibrary and intercampus loans.
- Send enquiries or suggestions through our electronic box to be dealt with by the Library staff.

Group study rooms
Rooms suitable for collaborative work, or just for studying in a more isolated and quiet place, are available in most of our libraries.
Copying devices
Copying, scanning and emailing devices are available in our General Libraries. You can scan and send the documents you need to your e-mail account. You must always respect the copyright laws.
Users training
We organise guided tours, as well as face to face and online training sessions, about facilities and holdings locations in the library and about the use of our main electronic resources.
Virtual library
Electronic resources:
- UCLM documents: Available at the Institutional Repository RUIdeRA (https://ruidera.uclm.es/) are theses, research papers, journals, digital books, and university institutional documentation.
- Books: You can access books converted to digital format by UCLM in our digital library.
- Databases: Databases specialised in different subjects are available.
- Journals: You can access the full text of the electronic journals subscribed by the library and the electronic reviews published by Spanish Universities.
- Doctoral theses: With the full text of theses defended in UCLM and in other Spanish universities.
- Official Bulletins: You can access local and regional bulletins, the BOE and the DOUE.
- Newspapers: We have a compilation of the main regional, national and foreign newspapers. National and regional historic press is available as well.
- Other holdings: We offer links to a wide selection of Spanish and foreign digital libraries.
Research Support Service
This service is focused on the search of evidences about research activity related to biographical and documental resources. Its function is to support:
- Research work evaluation and accreditation.
- Scientific outputs evaluation.
Users
All students, professors, researchers and administrative staff of the UCLM are entitled users of the library.
The library card is the intelligent card that is given to students when registering at the university.
Erasmus students must have previously registered at any faculty/school of the university to obtain the library card.
Any other person not linked to the UCLM older than 18 may request an external user card, upon explanation of the need to use the library resources.
Opening hours
Regular Schedule:
Monday to Friday: from 8.30 to 21.00 h.
Special Schedule for exams periods:
Libraries in each Campus establish special schedules during exams periods, apart from the opening of night study classrooms.

Collaboration grants
The Vice-chancellorship for Student offers grants for collaboration tasks with the library services. The call is published on the web as well as on the different information boards. Application may be submitted during the autumn term.
Application forms are available at the Vice-chancellorship of every Campus and at the libraries, and must be submitted to the Chancellor or the Vice-chancellorships in Campus.
