Transference and Innovation

Transference Commission

Regulation:

Created by Agreement of the Board of Governors of 7th of November of 2014. There will be ordinary meetings of the   Transference Commission  at least twice a year and  extraordinary meeting as many times as needed to resolve urgent and/or pressing matters. In both cases they will be called by the Chairperson who will also specify the order of the day. Whilst carrying out its duties, the commission may consult as many qualified people as it deems pertinent.

Duties

The functions of the Transference Commission are:

  • To put forward  the internal laws related to management of contracts and agreements to carry out scientific, technical or artistic work, to the Board of Directors so that these may be studied and approved, as well as carrying out specialized teaching or specific training activities, foreseen in article 83 of the Organic Law of Universities and in article 110 of the University Statutes, as well as granting teaching staff at the University of Castilla-La Mancha compatibility to participate in these activities.
  • To put forward the internal laws related to the creation of knowledge-based companies (spin-off) to the Board of Directors so that these may be studied and approved.
  • To put forward the budgetary policies for activities related to transference, protection, evaluation and marketing of research outcomes to the Board of Directors so that these may be studied and approved.
  • To put forward the registration of patents, intellectual property or any other type of protection, derived from the outcomes of research carried out at the university, to the Vice-chancellor´s office for Transference and Business Relations.
  • To put forward the programme for  financial aid for funding activities related to the protection,  evaluation and marketing of research outcomes  aimed at the UCLM Teaching  and Research Staff, to the Board of Directors.
  • To analyse the applications to the internal financial aid programme for funding activities related to the protection,  evaluation and marketing of research outcomes  and to submit proposals for approval or rejection of the corresponding aid to the Vice-chancellor´s office for Transference and Business Relations.
  • To put forward actions for improving and updating the Catalogue for the Science-Technology programme at the university.
  • Any other duties conferred on it by Law, the Statutes, the Chancellor or the UCLM Board of Governors.
